About the Workshop

Dynamic technique on the rope

In this workshop we will focus on dynamic movements on the rope, starting with different swing variations and examining their precise execution and timing as the base of all dynamic tricks. We will then lead up to the tricks such as the twist or the front salto, introducing useful preparation exercises.

Let’s swing!

About the Workshop

How To Fly
This workshop is focused on dynamics as well as spinning technique: how to get a proper silhouette and how to work with a spinning axis (how to be an axis, and how to put the hoop under the axis while being outside of it).

Both technique and sequences will be covered including: tornado spin, lasso, meathook, flare to flag oriented etc.

Dynamic for beginners will be for people who have never done dynamic before - or they were introduced only to the basics such as beats or elbow rolls.

For intermediate/advanced I would like to work on basics for big tricks such as clocks, entry to scorpio, so having a knowledge about beats would be good.

About the Workshop

Atypical Aerial Apparatus Exploration

Ever wanted to play around on a weird bit of equipment? This is your chance! More and more interesting and atypical apparatuses have been entering the aerial world the past years, but building them from scratch or investing in someone to do it for you is usually the only way to give them a go and see if they spark your passion and imagination. We’ve collected a number of unusual props for you to explore during two very special workshops – one for beginners and one for advanced aerialists – led by aerialist and circus coach Sarah Goody, who will feed you with technical and creative exercises throughout this 3-hour workshop.

About Sarah Goody

Sarah Goody is an international aerial artist, teacher, coach, choreographer and educator working in the field of circus arts since 2009. Her passions lie both in the choreographic and technical aspects of aerial arts, as well as understanding and overcoming the body’s struggle against gravity.

In summer 2020 she created the company and brand “Seil ist Geil” (translates to “Rope is Awesome”) in order to provide professional and recreational students of the aerial arts the tools they need to reach their physical and creative goals.

About the Workshop

Aerial Technique for Finding Fluidity

The first half of this workshop focuses on combining aerial technique with Pilates knowledge. Georgina will share her continuous research on how to bring core control to the air. With a speciality in delivering technical understanding for strengthening foundational skills, her teaching is ideal for anyone looking to refine technique and hone in on the bio-mechanics of the body. The second half of the workshop will explore fluidity in aerial movement quality. Looking at climbs and figures combined into a choreography to not only widen skillsets, we apply further exercises that thread the sequence to focus on delicacy and sensitivity in quality of movement. This workshop looks at explorative elements that can be applied further to all aerial apparatus.
